Summer Fun
I am so glad summer is here! I have been horrible about blogging...mainly because I try to keep Facebook updated. My goal this summer is to post on the blog once a week. We have already been active this summer with swimming, splash park, going to the library, and playing at different play areas at McD's and Chick Fill A! Next week will include bowling (for the 1st time), movies, and time with family.

Chuck E. Cheese
Mikayla has been begging to go to Chuck E. Cheese, so last night I finally gave in! Of course she had a blast. I can tell how much she has changed since the last time she was there. She wanted to actually ride the little cars and stuff. Normally she doesn't want to sit in things that are moving. She was actually pretty good at some of the games. It was very UGLY went it was time to leave though. She threw a tantrum! I might take her back when she turns 18!

Pirates for the Day
We found out at the eye doctor last week that Mikayla's right eye isn't focusing like it is supposed to and is weaker than the left. It wasn't quite to the point of needing glasses yet, so we are trying to correct it by having a patch on the stronger eye 2 hours a day. Today was the first day. A friend at school told me that I should put one on my eye to get her to wear hers and leave it on there for two hours. We played outside the entire time- in her sand table, riding her tricycle, and playing kick ball. We both made it the entire 2 hours. I was proud of her. Her eyes are doomed as bad as mine are!!!!

snow fun!
We have had many threats of snow this year, but we have not had any to actually stick. Mikayla was awake early ready to go play. I have no idea how long we stayed out there, but it was long enough where we had to start the car and warm up in it. We played longer after warming up. We were both cold, but she did not want to go inside. So, I had to be innovative. We took some snow inside to play with! She sat in the living room on a towel and played with the snow. We also made some snow ice cream.

Good Morning
I realize that I have not been on here in a while, and I certainly haven't written anything. First reason would be I AM BUSY!!!!!! There is constantly something going on- mainly because Mikayla demands my attention. At the moment she is eating breakfast. Lately we both have been sick. It started with her and is ending with me. She got sick on Christmas Eve, but she enjoyed Christmas anyways. For days after when going to sleep at night she would say "gotta close eyes, Santa Clause is coming." Sometimes I still catch her singing SANTA CLAUSE IS COMING TO TOWN. I guess she loved her presents and wants more. My house can't take anymore. I had clean out stuff just so everything new had room. Lately she has really been a mommy's girl and will say "no, mommy do it" to anyone else who tries while I am around.
She has grown so much over the last year. Her teacher at school said that she is the smartest one in her class. She also said that she talks the most, colors the best, and cuts and glues the best. So, she is basically the best in the class! Of course that makes me even more proud.
Yesterday we went to Sciport in Shreveport. After about 4 hourse when I told her we had to leave she RAN from me. I caught her, and then she kicked and screamed on the long walk to the car. Within a few minutes of being in the car she was asleep. She needed a nap. The pictures in this post are from yesterday.
