A Cute Picture and a Funny Story

I meant to put this on here the other day. One of these days if Mikayla can look back on here she will want to hurt me for it, but it's the cutest picture. Mikayla is really working on going to the potty. Well, she is now LOVING her baby. While she was sitting on the potty she asked me to get her baby, so I did- because when Mikayla says to do something you do it (seriously!). So, while grabbing the baby I got the camera. She just looks like she is really loving this baby. After taking this picture Mikayla was trying to teach her baby to go to the potty. I didn't get that picture because I was trying to make sure the doll didn't end up in the toilet.

That same night I was doing something while the bath water was running. Mikayla went into my bathroom and went to the potty. Well, instead of telling me she had gone she ended up trying to empty the potty herself. The next thing I hear is "MOMMY HELP!, MOMMY HELP!, MOMMY HELP!" I hear that A LOT, but this time she really needed help. She had missed when pouring and was standing in a big puddle! Of course she said "tee-tee potty." I had to then cheer her on becaues she had gone in the potty. I just sat her on the side of my tub and cleaned up the mess. How could I get mad about it? She was just doing what mommy always does. Instead of me getting in the bath she went straight to the tub. Of course I had to call my mom and sister and tell them the story.

Water and (purple) Sand Table

Mikayla is loving her sand and water table- more so than I am loving it. I would've been happier with just the water- but she would've missed the full experience. Apparently I have a little OCD in me. I can't stand the water and sand mixing. It makes it worse that it is PURPLE SAND! Wal-Mart had blue and purple- no regular sand, so Mikayla picked purple. Of course the sand doesn't just stay IN the sand and water table. It is ALL over the porch, so I've been sweeping a lot. The mommy bird that kept attacking me is gone, so at least I can sweep the porch and water the plants now.

Mikayla is LOVING her baby!

Mikayla spends HOURS with her baby. I asked her what her name was, and she said "baby." So, I'm trying to get her to call the baby Sarah- easy enough for her to say. So far the name is still "Baby." She rocks the baby, and sings "rock,rock,rock." She fell asleep with the baby beside her last night. In the last couple pictures you can see how Mikayla likes to pose for the camera now. Yesterday she had her Fisher Price Camera and was sticking her hands on her hips saying "cheese." I'm really going to miss spending so much time with her when I have to go back to school. We only have a little over 3 weeks before we start back, which means Mikayla will be in Daycare in about 2 weeks. It will be a sad day.

Water and Sand Table Without the Sand!

Mikayla found her Birthday present under the bed. It is a Water & Sand table made by Step 2. It even has a cute little umbrella. It doesn't have sand in it yet because I was going to buy that closer to time. She had so much fun with just the water!!! We'll have to make a trip tomorrow to go get sand. I put it on the porch so that she could be a little more out of the sun. Yes, it does match the chairs, and no- that wasn't the plan, but I do LOVE the color! Matching can't hurt :-).
