First Video Downloaded

I was asked to go to a training at school, and from the 3 days of workshops I will have a new Flip Mino and a Dell Laptop computer to use for school and personal use. As long as I am in Bossier Parish I will be allowed to keep. At least if I leave Bossier Parish I will have had the training of how to use both in my classroom. This video is short. In it you'll hear Mikayla sing the "Clean Up" song (her version), and she'll say "Ho, Ho, Ho" Merry Christmas. It took forever to put the video on here, so it may take forever to watch it. Who knows!

Christmas Dress 2009

These weren't the two best pictures, but they were the only ones I could get to actually change to vertical so that you weren't having to turn your head sideways to be able to see. I took Mikayla's picture today in her Christmas dress outside at Norton Art Gallery. I was actually impressed with how they turned out- seeing that I didn't have to pay a sitting fee of $100 to get them :-).

Okay, so I just got my computer back! It had 12 viruses on it, so it took Best Buy FOREVER to get them off. I promise that there will be new pictures by this weekend. I have been taking lots of pictures of Mikayla, so I'll try to catch everyone up.

Shrine Circus

Angela and I took Mikayla to the Shrine circus this afternoon. Mikayla is exhausted and asleep on the bed at the moment. She LOVED everything. The elephants were her favorite. Of course I enjoyed the circus, but the real joy comes from seeing Mikayla's eyes light up!

Dress for Reruns

This is a dress I found at a Consignment sale. It will probably be Mikayla's Christmas dress. Isn't it precious!!!

Feeling Much, Much Better!

She is feeling a LOT better. I took her to the Doctor, and they thought it could be the flu but she tested negative. Thank goodness! We're just having fun at home together. Tomorrow it will be back to school for her and back to work for me!

Sick Baby Girl

Around 3:00 a.m. on Friday Mikayla woke up with Fever. I called Mimi around 5:00, and she came and kept Mikayla while I worked half a day. By afternoon Mikayla was bouncing around (literally) and didn't have fever. Mimi had already planned on keeping Mikayla for me on Friday night and Saturday morning so that I could go to this event with the church. Well, since princess was better, plans went on as they were. Mimi took Mikayla to Haynesville and later that night she had fever again. I went to Haynesville and stayed Saturday night. Well, Mikayla STILL HAS FEVER. She has been asleep for around 4 hours now. I have gotten a Sub for tomorrow and will be taking her to the Doctor. Bless her little heart. She has been a trooper, and a BIG THANKS to Mimi for keeping her.

Broken Camera Excuse

So, I haven't been posting lately. First reason is Mikayla broke my camera. She dropped it on the lens while it was open...I don't think it can be repaired. Second reason is that we started back to school August 10th, and it's been crazy! Angela helped me to solve the camera problem by letting me borrow her very nice digital camera. Thanks Auntie!
