This past week Mikayla got to go Bowling for the first time. Of course it was modified for her size, but she LOVED IT!!!! We will definitely go back more this summer. Angela, Jeff, and I also got to bowl. Next time Angela won't be allowed to use the gutters :-).
I am so glad summer is here! I have been horrible about blogging...mainly because I try to keep Facebook updated. My goal this summer is to post on the blog once a week. We have already been active this summer with swimming, splash park, going to the library, and playing at different play areas at McD's and Chick Fill A! Next week will include bowling (for the 1st time), movies, and time with family.
Mikayla has been begging to go to Chuck E. Cheese, so last night I finally gave in! Of course she had a blast. I can tell how much she has changed since the last time she was there. She wanted to actually ride the little cars and stuff. Normally she doesn't want to sit in things that are moving. She was actually pretty good at some of the games. It was very UGLY went it was time to leave though. She threw a tantrum! I might take her back when she turns 18!
We found out at the eye doctor last week that Mikayla's right eye isn't focusing like it is supposed to and is weaker than the left. It wasn't quite to the point of needing glasses yet, so we are trying to correct it by having a patch on the stronger eye 2 hours a day. Today was the first day. A friend at school told me that I should put one on my eye to get her to wear hers and leave it on there for two hours. We played outside the entire time- in her sand table, riding her tricycle, and playing kick ball. We both made it the entire 2 hours. I was proud of her. Her eyes are doomed as bad as mine are!!!!
I have a beautiful daughter named Mikayla. She is now 3 & 1/2 years old. Mikayla is growing more and more every day. She will always be my little baby and my princess! We are living in Bossier and have been here for a little over a year. We are always on the go with never a dull moment!
